Authors Note: I have gotten a bought of inspiration and have felt the desire to finish what I started. I am going to be rewriting this story. I hope that the few of you that still care about this story can find it in your heart to forgive my absence. I am very sorry for the three year hiatus but I hope to be back at least until I finish this story. Time to finish what I started.

Rikki and Cleo swam through the beautiful ocean, they were on their way to Mako Island to their favorite spot. Rikki and Cleo have their sights set on the moon pool and they won't slow down until they get there. They swam strait past the pink coral reefs and the many schools of fish, many things that would entrance normal people. However, Rikki and Cleo are not normal people, they are mermaids.

Rikki and Cleo were turned into mermaids by the magic of the full moon mixed with the water of the moon pool on Mako Island. Now whenever they touch water they are transformed into mermaids with tails that shine in shades of gold and orange. The magic of this experience has its ups and downs. On the upside, they can swim with dolphins whenever they want to. On the downside, the girls cannot take showers, they have to take baths, they have to drink from straws, and they can never tell their families. Why? Because they won't understand. They don't mind though, it's the price they have to pay for the experiences they have.

As the girls got closer to Mako Island they started to speed up. They swam faster, pushing themselves to the limit. They couldn't wait to get to the moon pool and just look at the sand and float there. It may sound silly to normal people, but they have so many memories here.

The moon pool has memories of the night they got stranded and got their powers in the first place. Memories of Emma, Lewis, Zane, Dr. Denman, and many more. When they met Bella, when Zane and Rikki broke up, and when they got back together. So many memories in one small cavern. There was no denying that this place is where all the Mako Island mermaids find themselves going whenever they have the opportunity.

As the two teenage mermaids arrived at the underwater entrance to the cave, they noticed something familiar. There was another girl there already. She had long blond hair and a tail just like theirs. It wasn't until they turned around that they realized that it wasn't their newfound friend Bella. It was their old friend Emma. The girls could not believe their eyes.

"Oh my God Emma," Cleo exclaimed, "How are you here? Why are you here? Why didn't you tell us you were here?" She bombarded her blond friend with questions so fast she couldn't even take the time to notice that Emma was trying to answer.

"Well, mum and dad are taking a vacation. Work has been really hard on them so they decided to come back and visit for nine weeks. I get to spend all of it with you guys. The reason why I didn't tell you that I was back was because we just got here. Mum and dad are getting situated at the motel, Elliot is trying to find a friend's house to stay at. I couldn't wait to get out here. I have missed Mako so much since I left. I was hoping I could stay with one of you two?" Emma inquired of them. She looked kind of worried that they would say no. What a silly thing to worry about.

Rikki was the first to speak up, "Well I don't know if you will like it very much, but you are always welcome in the trailer. Dad and I will make room." She was hoping that she would take her up on the offer. She would never admit it but she missed this stuck up girl.

"Absolutely Rikki. I would love that," The sincerity on her face almost made Rikki tear up. Almost. "Well girls, you have to tell me. What all has happened since I left? Cleo, tell me about Lewis. Rikki, what about Zane? And for the love of Mako Island, will someone please tell me why the Juicenet Café is now called 'Rikki's'?"

Cleo and Rikki shared a look and silently agreed not to mention the meteorite that almost destroyed Mako Island. Cleo spoke first, "Let's start with the easy stuff. The Juicenet Café was sold. To Zane. He bought it for Rikki. That went really well until Zane and Rikki broke up," Emma was nodding her head along and taking it all in. Cleo could see the wheels turning in her head as she processed all the information. She turned towards Rikki.

"You and Zane broke up?" She almost looked smug about it. She also looked genuinely upset for Rikki as well.

"No worries Em. We broke up but now we are back together and better than ever. We run Rikki's together," She smiled as she remembered the long chat she had with Zane the day they got back together. As soon as their talk was through she went straight up to Sophie and fired her.

"I'm glad you are happy. So Cleo, what about you and Lewis?" Emma asked, she seemed much more excited to know the answer to that question.

"Lewis and I are doing… okay. We are in a long distance relationship and it sucks. I haven't seen him in almost five months. We talk everyday though. He went to be a teacher's assistant at PCA in the United States." Cleo explained. She was very sad that she hadn't seen Lewis in so long. "On a slightly more important note, we have someone we need you to meet."

"Who? You didn't replace me did you?" Emma laughed at her own joke. This is what Rikki and Cleo were afraid she would think, that they replaced her.

"Well her name is Bella, she is the same age as us, and she is a mermaid too. We found that out about her shortly after she moved here." The look of shock on Emma's face was to be expected. She didn't look angry.

"Let's go to the café to talk. I can meet Bella, and finally meet up with Ash." The three girls leave the pool and swim to the beach. When they get to the mainland Rikki uses her powers to dry them off. On their walk up to Rikki's, Cleo's phone rang. It was Lewis.

"Hi baby."

"Hello my beautiful girlfriend."

"What's up? We usually don't talk until about eight o'clock. Not that I'm complaining, of course."

"Well I was just wondering, how long has it been since I've seen you?"

"Five months."

"How would you like to come visit me at PCA? You can stay with some friends of mine. You could stay for two months. I just can't go one more day without seeing you."

"Oh baby, I would love to but Emma is here for 9 weeks."

"Bring her! In fact, bring everyone. Rikki, Emma, Bella, Will, Ash, and Zane. The whole gang. There is room for everyone. I have to go now but text me who all is coming and I will make it happen. I love you. Bye." He hung up before Cleo could respond. They were all on a plane within two days.

When they arrived in the United States, Lewis was there to welcome them with a hug. They loaded into a PCA school bus and started driving. It was only a two hour drive from the airport to PCA. As they rounded the last corner in their journey, Lewis announced, "Welcome to Pacific Coast Academy."
