Imagine your OTP adopting a cat

"Artemis, look how cute she is!" Whatever the white puff ball in Wally's hand was it was not cute. The blonde girl just rose her eyebrows and shook her head.

"No. No cats."

Wally frowned, putting the cat down and then stared her down. "I thought most girls loved cats?"

"You should know by now I am not most girls." She retorted, crossing her arms with a smirk.

"Right you are, babe." He said with a grin. "So, uh, if you don't want to get a cat... how about a parrot?" That only got him one of her dramatic eye rolls.

Grey eyes pierced him as she shook her head. She huffed a bit and walked down the aisles of the pet store, looking from pet to pet; nothing called out to her. "Nope, not here either." she mumbled, shaking her head.

"Babe, it's not that hard. Just pick one!" Wally urged, leaning against a vacant wall as she made her way to the storefront again.

"I can't just point and pick, Wally!" She told him, hands skyward like she was angry at him. It wasn't his fault she was picky. "If we're going to get a pet I want one that I instantly fall in love with."

"Let me guess... that pet isn't here?"

"No. It isn't." She confirmed, looking back once before exiting the store.

Wally sighed and trailed off after her, "Of course it's not." he mumbled. The two continued on down the street until suddenly Artemis stopped. "What is it, babe?" he asked, looking up across the street to where she was staring. "Artemis..." he warned, seeing the sign that made her face lit up. "We said no dogs."

She turned to him, grey eyes lit and pleading, "We can just look, can't we?" She asked. Without waiting for his permission she was crossing the street and heading into the pound.

"No." he grumbled, hands shoved into his pockets as he followed her. Once they were in the sounds of barking filled his ears. He hated barking.

The redhead waited at the door, eyes glaring at his girlfriend as she slowly went cage to cage. "Can I help you?" He turned to the man who'd approached him and shook his head fervently.

"No, my girlfriend is just loo-"

"Wally! Come over here." he winced when he heard her voice. He was not getting conned into this.

"Why?" The speedster demanded, glaring at the worker as he smirked.

"Just do it." Wally grumbled something unintelligibly, but followed her instructions, rounding the corner to see her kneeling next to a crate. "Look!" She said sweetly, beckoning him to come closer. "Isn't he adorable?"

Wally kept his eyes narrowed into a glare as he approached. He stared at her for a minute before kneeling down next to her to peer into the crate. He had always hated dogs. They barked, they smelt bad, and they constantly had chased him when he was younger. But peering at the grey and white mutt Artemis found made his heart melt. He was adorable. "Artemis." he grumbled. He hated how she constantly got what she wanted.

She sighed, standing up and looking away as if she were ashamed, "Fine. We did say no dogs." she mumbled, her voice laced with sadness. He automatically felt terrible.

"Don't worry, babe, we'll find the perfect pet." He said and watched her wave her hand as if to shoo away the suggestion.

"Right. Whatever." After that she left and went straight out the door of the shelter. She basically radiated anger and annoyance.

Damn you, Artemis. "Excuse me?" Wally said, returning to the smug employee. He always got conned into things."I'd like to adopt a dog."
