When did that lightning strike
When did you plummet down?
We were always together
So why didn't I see
Was I blind?
Or were the rays of hope
Shinning to brightly in my eyes
I searched for you
In the dark
I searched
Grasping at feathers
Floating to the ground
I think
That even when I saw you
Lying lifeless on the floor
I didn't fully believe
Didn't really understand
That you weren't coming back
