Hi there! This is my first Victorious story so I hope it's okay. I've always really loved how cute Cat is, but I've always felt like there was a different side to her. So I decided to right a story about it (: I hope you like it
Enjoy
Cat Valentine is not as stupid as everyone thinks she is. But she pretends to be. She figures it's better to have friends that like you for someone you're not than to not have any at all. So she laughs and laughs at comments that don't make sense, and pretends to be interested in things she's really not. And it seems to work fine until she gets home. Then she's reminded that everything's not okay. That it's all like the broken pieces of glass that are gathered on her floor. Sharp and painful and not at all friendly or sweet like she wishes.
So she pretends to be the sweet girl that everyone likes because it hides away everything she wishes she wasn't. But she knows no one truly wants to be her. No one wants to be the stupid, childish girl that can't do anything. It's all an act. That's one of the biggest mistake that people make about Cat Valentine is that she doesn't understand anything, and that she probably never will. What they don't know is that she understands perfectly. She hears every sharp jab at the stupid little girl with the pretty face and childish attitude. It doesn't bother her as much as it probably should, she hears it too often to care.
Always mess it up, never do it right is all she ever hears. Her whole life is one big movie scene waiting to rip apart at the seams and crumble to the ground. But she holds it together with her pretty red hair and her perfectly dimpled face because that's all the hope she has left. All of her wishes are used up on stupid shooting stars that will never understand. They never seem to work the right way anyway, so she stopped using them. After you're done hoping and wishing all you're left with are broken dreams and stupid, childish wishes that will never come true.
She thinks it's why she secretly hates Tori so much. Tori Vega this, and Tori Vega that. The girl is just so damn perfect. She can do no wrong in anyone's eyes. It's like she is her own shooting star. And that's not fair. Except Cat sees it. She knows that once Tori is left to fend for herself she'll get torn apart by the watching glares and harsh critics. And Cat can't wait to sit back and watch it happen the way Tori did to her. Over and over again.
So Cat Valentine is not stupid. Far from it actually. She's just doesn't remember how to do anything right anymore. Because everyone knows that Cat Valentine, the girl with the pretty red hair and perfectly dimpled face will never understand.
