Movie night was a rare tradition for the Harkness-Jones family since Jack and Ianto could be called into the hub at any moment if there was any rift activity. Their movie nights had only been called short once or twice and Ianto had gotten his sister, Rhiannon to keep an eye on the kids, well apart from Griffin, he was now a teenager and quite capable of taking care of himself. Griffin who was a fifteen year old and the spitting image and the personality of Jack was sitting on his own armchair, half watching and half reading one of his books through the opening credits of Dumbo. Tucker who was nicknamed the Rebel Harkness, aged ten and going on two had moaned about being stuck with a 'baby' film but since Jack and Ianto's youngest child, a three year old girl by the name of Emily-Rose couldn't really watch anything above U, they had settled on a Disney film.
Griffin chuckled in his Jack like way as he watched a bit of the film about the flying elephant, bringing his attention to Emily who was sucking on her thumb and sitting on Jack's lap. The little girl was definitely a Daddy's little girl and never left Jack's side and Ianto noticed that Jack adored his daughter, and spoilt her rotten as often as he could. "I don't know why this is classed as 'U' Da, the mother elephant slaps the other elephant with her trunk! Wouldn't that be classed as violence?" Griffin chuckled. Ianto rolled his eyes and stroked his daughter's hair gently whilst he watched Tucker sulk. "A little Griffin but your sister is engrossed in the film and won't notice…Tucker!" he warned as his middle child reached for the remote control. "What? I don't want to watch it, don't understand why I have to be stuck watching this cr.." Tucker trailed off as he got a look from Jack. "You are sitting through it young man. Touch that remote and you'll be spending the night with Janet in her cell…wanna test me to see if I'm joking?" Jack scolded, smiling in satisfaction as Tucker crossed his arms and watched the film. "That's just mean Daddy" Tucker replied with a pout.
"Ellie cute!" Emily grinned, cuddling into her father as she watched the film. "Not as cute as you Em. I'll buy you a Dumbo teddy from the Disney Shop when I get a chance" Jack told her as he kissed the top of her head. "Don't spoil her Jack. You have two other children you know?" Ianto pointed out as Tucker scowled at being left out. "I'll get something for the boys too" Jack shrugged. Ianto nodded and wrapped an arm around Jack, smiling as he glanced at his family before bringing his attention back to the Disney animation.
