Find Me
Prologue
Jumping from the tree he landed lithe as a cat, black as panther against the darkness of the forest shrubbery, and took of diving onto his prey-a large mountain lion, which although put up a fine struggle was no match for its more than able predator.
Standing from his crouched position, almost like a protective stance, over the now drained lion Edward gazed up at the twinkling stars which were almost winking at him as though saying 'that was a fine kill boy' and he loathed it.
In the distance he heard the muffled sound of howling. It was a faint noise,-only perceptible to someone with his hearing ability- and he couldn't even catch a whisper of thought from the wolves only that they the were probably notifying the rest of their clan for something inanely unimportant. Little did he no how wrong he was about the importance of the wolf clans discovery.
Chapter 1 Finding Bella
She's Running. Her movements are quick and calculated as she dodges the fallen trees and thick under growth-all minor obstacle's when considering her methodical speed and mind blowing strength. Only to use her strength to move the obstacle's, would mean slowing her speed, and slowing her speed would cost time, time she couldn't afford as the wolves where rapidly gaining on her even though she had had the upper hand at the very beginning of this desperate race, the race which could spell either her freedom or what she was sure to be her death.
Greens and browns off all shades blur together creating a deadly wall of capture, it was a place that she the creatures trailing her knew well and yet she knew nothing of only that she had been here for days. Pine and moss and dirt plus a heady smell of wet dog hangs heavy in the air the latter three had become a sort of home to her after her only days of safeness had been their smell. However it seems she wasn't to be comforted to be long as soon enough she was once again running.
As she bounds through a mass of thick brambles into a clearing, she is forced to a bone grinding halt as more of the large wolf like beasts appeared, snarling in front of her. She swivels swiftly and desperately darts forward only to be stopped five steps in by the wolves that were originally following her started to close in and circle her blocking all possible exits.
The girl then drops to the her knees her adrenalin fading, making way for a chilling fear of what is to come. She whispers a soft plea begging anyone with ears sharp enough to listen. She didn't know what she was begging for, only that she was. She didn't necessarily know why her life was so important only that for some implausible reason it suddenly was.
Then a hard but kind voice was talking to her telling her she would be safe if she cooperated. If anyone had asked what the voice had said exactly she would not have had a clue. All she knew was that whatever it had said was a good thing to be heard.
