"Can I ask you something?" Maggie asked as she appeared at Amelia's office door.

Amelia was at her computer. "Sure" she smiled, closing her document on the screen and turning on her chair to look at Maggie.

Maggie sat down on the sofa and sighed heavily, her hands fiddling nervously in her lap.

Amelia was surprised to see Maggie looking so nervous and pushed her door closed. "Maggie?" She rested her hand on Maggie's arm.

Maggie kept her head bowed. "I um... I.."

Amelia waited.

"I..." Maggie couldn't find the right words and shook her head.

"Take your time" Amelia soothed.

Maggie nodded again as someone knocked on Amelia's office door. It was one of the interns.

Maggie glanced up and her eyes met his for a second. She jumped up. "I uh..I..gotta go" she disappeared before Amelia had a chance to stop her.

"O...Kay. That was kinda weird. Something I should know about between you two?" She narrowed her eyes at him.

He shook his head. "No Dr Shepherd".

She nodded. "Okay. What can I help you with?"

Amelia caught up with Maggie in her own office, her head buried in her arms on her desk.

"Maggie" Amelia put her hand on Maggie's back. "Talk to me."

"I've um... I've..." She kept her head bowed and refused to look at Amelia.

"I've done something stupid."

"Okay" Amelia soothed.

"Define stupid." She perched on the edge of the desk beside Maggie.

Maggie didn't try and eleborate.

"Work stupid or personal life stupid?"

"Personal life. I um..."
