What If?

What if Horus had been Hathor's boyfriend instead of them being married? When he wants to propose to Hathor will he turn to Carter for advice? Horus might be OOC but if you were in Horus's position wouldn't you be too? This is my first one-shot! I hope you like it!

It was just a ordianary rainy Sunday at the twenty-first nome when I heard a ding come from downstairs. The doorbell obviously. I was curious,as I had not planned on any visitors today.I was starting to walk down the stairs when I heard the door open. Not sure what was going on I drew my sword and quietly crept down the stairs although I doubt I looked very tough in linen pajamas and messed up hair. Then I heard Sadie's voice,"Horus,Isis what are doing here?"I put my blade away and walked downstairs. Sure enough my friend Horus and his mother/sister had dropped by for a visit . Joy. "Hey." I said/asked them. "Hello Carter." Horus said. "It's like five in the morning what are you doing here?"Saide asked obviously annoyed."We thought we would visit." Isis said."And we don't know how to judge mortal time."Horus added to Isis's comment."Well there are a million extra rooms upstairs so make yourself comfortable." I said. I'm not sure what Horus and Isis did but Sadie and I went back to bed.I woke up to Horus pacing back and forth in front of my room, he seemed nervous about something."You okay?" I asked a little concerned about the war-god,he came in my room. "You know Hathor,right?" He asked. "If you mean your girlfriend than yes." I said.

"I was thinking about proposing to her."

"Really?"

"Yeah." I realized Horus was probably scared for the first time in his life.

"Why are you so worried?" I asked,he looked at me, and I could see just how worried he was.

"What if she says no,what if she hates me,what if she laughs at me, what if"

"What if she says yes?" I asked.

He took a deep breath than stood up," Thanks Carter."

"Good luck." I said. He nodded ,than walked out of my room closing the door behind me.A couple of hours later Sadie burst into my room."Hathors's here!" she exclaimed. I raised an eyebrow,"Really?" "Come on ." she said. I quickly put on clothes and went downstairs. Horus was talking to her. He glanced at me nervously and I nodded. Horus reached in his pocket and pulled out a grey jewelery box. Then he got down on one knee. "Will you marry me?" He asked."Oh my gosh yes!" She kissed him and he put the ring on her finger. A couple hours later Horus came up to me. "Thanks, your a good friend." He said. "Anytime." I told him.
