There she lay. Bleeding, praying, screaming, but worst of all... dying. Alice looked up at Victor, who had begged her not to leave. She thought back on when she first met him. That was first time she really smiled. She kept going through those memories as Victor rushed her inside a hospital. She grabbed her side in pain as Victor lay her down. She remembered the first time she'd laughed. And the look on that Boojum's face was priceless. Lizzie ran in and, once she saw Alice, she burst into tears. Victor walked over to Lizzie and hugged her. Alice looked at Lizzie and thought of the memories she had created with her. All the times they had joked with each other, and when they both would cry over the loss of their loved ones. Alice always thought of Lizzie as a sister, never just a friend. Just to see her now, crying, made Alice shed a tear. The doctor rushed in, and kept telling Alice to hang in there. She tried, she really did. The last thing she saw was Victor and Lizzie standing over her. Alice's last breath flew off of her lips as she told them, "Goodbye..." And with that, Alice could see a light. In that light, she saw her family. Alice ran towards them and hugged them for the first time in years. She looked down and saw Lizzie and Victor in misery, for she had left her friends. She looked at her older sister in horror. Elizabeth just smiled and hugged her.

"At least you got to say goodbye," Elizabeth said, voice cracking with tears. Alice nodded as she buried her head in Elizabeth's shoulder, and cried. She looked at Alice and told her that they needed to leave. Alice looked at Victor and Lizzie one last time, and whispered her last farewell. With that, she walked off with her family.
