Hermione Granger was in her room reading the Daily Prophet. She had recently done an interview with her best friends Ron and Harry about the Battle of Hogwarts.

When the paper was delivered, she was surprised to see that they had made the front page. It read 'THE TEENS THAT BROUGHT DOWN VOLDEMORT SPEAK OUT!'

She was glad that she went through with the interview, at least now people would know the truth.

'Hermione!? You've got a letter… I think its from Hogwarts' her mum called upstairs.

Hermione paused. Why were they writing to her? A small amount of panic ran through her chest. What if something was wrong?

She ran downstairs and took the letter from her mum, pausing only for a second before opening it.

Dear Miss Granger,

We would like to inform you that the former students that helped in the Battle of Hogwarts ave been invited to attend an 8th year at Hogwarts. This is because the war prevented the students in your year to complete their N.E.W.T's.

You will be taught all the subjects needed to complete your

N.E.W.T's, but the exams will be optional.

We would also like to offer you the place of head girl.

Please reply before the 20th of August.

Professor McGonagall

Hermione wrote her reply as fast as she could. She was so exited! She was going back to Hogwarts!

Tap! Tap! Tap!

Draco Malfoy sat up in bed and looked around for the source of the tapping noise. He noticed a small barn owl at the window with a letter clutched in its beak. He got up, walked to the

window and took the letter. He scanned through it quickly and froze in shock.

Professor McGonagall wanted him to go back to Hogwarts? As head boy? Why not Potter? Or Weasley?

He turned and slowly walked back to his bed. He took ink, Parchment and a Quill from his draw and began to write;

Dear Professor McGonagall,

I'm glad that you've asked me to come back to Hogwarts but I, afraid I'll have to decline the offer. Everybody now knows that I was a death eater so-

He paused. He couldn't hide forever ad this was his chance to prove he'd changed. He rewrote the letter and sent it to Hogwarts with his owl. A smile broke out across his face, solo he'd be back at Hogwarts.
