A/N: This is slash. It's from Aladdin's point of view. As he talks about Jafar (they are lovers in this fic).
People get the wrong idea about Jafar. They think he's a bad man, but he's really not. Okay, maybe he sometimes can still be cruel and heartless, but not at all when it's just us alone. When it's just us alone he's so sweet and romantic, I don't even know why he was our enemy. It's like it was an act all along. You know, simply trying to get attention, like he was alone, that's why he was like this.
I don't think he's bad at all. Maybe he does have a rough edge, but I hardly notice. I remember when we were walking along the market place together and some young man said something really mean. Jafar punched him out so hard he fell to the ground. Then some other girl said something like "Wow streetrat that's one agressive boyfriend you have." We just ignored that comment. We save the romance for when we're alone, due to that. We act like we're just best friends walking together when we're in public. People still comment though, mainly because Jafar was our enemy.
Though at night things are totally different. There is nobody around usually, so we go out at night. One time we fell assleep
together in my hovel. It was probably one of the most magical nights ever. Waking up with the one you love beside you, how romantic.
It was a dream come true to me.
I remember how I used to be. I wanted to be accepted by everyone. Now that's never going to happen. That doesn't matter anymore to me. I'm free, that's all that matters. I don't care if people have a problem with who I love, he makes me happy, and that's all that matters to me.
