Disclaimer: I don't know RK, really what made you believe that? I also don't own the song 'Ordinary Day' by Vanessa Carlton.

Ordinary Day

By Rose Kurama1

Just a day, just an, ordinary day

Just tryin' to get by

Megumi Takani pushed her hair out of eyes and concentrated on finishing her work. Then the bell rang, signaling the end of the day. She gathered all her stuff inside her bag and walked outside of the school.

Just a boy, just an, ordinary boy but

He was looking to the sky and

A boy, Sanosake Sagara, was looking at the sky. The wind was blowing his brown hair into his eyes but he didn't care. He turned to Megumi and smiled.

As he asked if I would come along

I started to realized that everyday he finds just what he's looking for

"Hey. I'm going to the park. Would you like to come along?"

Megumi asked "Why?"

And like a shooting star he shines, and said,

Take my hand, live while you can,

Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand

Sano smiled. "Because you should live while you can. Your dreams are right in the palm of your hand. Take my hand and lets go." He held out his hand.

Megumi thought of what he said and shook her head, but took his hand anyways. He led her into the park, talking and laughing.

And as he spoke, he spoke ordinary words

Though they did not feel

For I felt what I had not felt before

And you'd swear those words could heal and

As I looked up into those eyes, his vision borrowed mine

Megumi started laughing and talking something she hadn't done freely for a long time. She looked up and saw those brown eyes staring at her. As her gaze locked with his, she felt feelings she hadn't felt before.

And I know he's no stranger

For I feel I've held him for all time, and he said

Take my hand, live while you can,

Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand

Please come with me, see what I see

Touch the stars for time will not flee

Time will not flee, can't you see…

Sano took her all around the park. He showed her all the flowers that grew there and told her the names and their meanings. He introduced her to the old men playing chess in the park. He showed what she would have missed before. As the sun was setting he showed her the colors of the sunset. He walked her home.

"Thanks. I had a really great time today." Megumi said smiling.

"No problem. I had fun too. I'll walk you to school tomorrow, 'kay?" Sano said, also smiling. "Bye!" He said while walking away.

Just a dream, just an, ordinary dream

As I wake in bed

And that boy, that ordinary boy

Was it all in my head?

Megumi woke up the next morning think about what happened yesterday. "Did that really happen? Or was I imagining it?" She wondered out loud.

It all seemed so real, but as looked to the door

I saw that boy standing there with a deal, and he said

Take my hand, live while you can,

Don't you see your dreams lie right in the palm of your hand

Megumi dressed and went downstairs. She was finishing some eggs and toast when a knock came on the door. Megumi rushed to the door and saw it was Sano. She opened the door. "Hey, are you ready to go?" He asked. She smiled and said. "Yes, let me get my bag." When she came back outside he was looking at the sky.

Just a day, just an, ordinary day

Just tryin' to get by

Just a boy, just an ordinary boy, but

He was looking to the sky…
