Prompt: a light shining down
Gio smiled as he looked over at Betty as they sat on the iOstia Lido/ibeach as the sun set. Betty's head was tipped back, her eyes closed as she absorbed the last rays of the sun.
She turned her head, her eyes opening. She blushed when she caught him staring at her, "What?"
"Nothing," he said, sliding closer in the sand so he could kiss her cheek, "You just look so beautiful like that, with the sun setting."
"Gio," she said, giggling, "That's such a clique."
"They become cliques for a reason," he said, "Besides it's the truth."
She really blushed now, but game him a big smile, "Thank you."
"You're welcome. You can feel free to tell me how hot I look, by the way."
Betty shook her head, "I'm glad to see that your ego is intact even after a flight across the Pacific."
"Completely intact, alive, and kicking in fact, which is all your fault."
She turned toward him, glaring, ready for a battle of wills, "My fault? How could this be my fault?"
"Well," he said, "When the most beautiful, amazing, smart, and sweet girl in the world chooses to fly to Rome with you, well, it's hard not to feel a little special."
Betty blushed against, and leaned over to kiss his lips softly, "You're very special, Gio."
"Glad to hear it."
"But you still need to control that giant ego."
Gio shook his head and leaned close to kiss her again, "Whatever you say, Suarez, whatever you say."
