At long last! I do live. Here is my first entry in a very very long time so I hope I'm not terribly out of practice or terrible period. As per usual, the spell check ran through, but if theres anything else that I may have missed, then my apologies to the grammar police.

And now, without further ado:

Hermione rarely wore makeup. And she almost never wore jewelry. She didn't need to; Ginny always said that she looked beautiful, radiant, gorgeous – whatever the current word of choice was – just as she was.

So she certainly wasn't expecting the small gift box she found at the foot of her bed one morning, wrapped neatly in a pink bow; a card addressed to her on top of it all, Ginny's scrawled writing,

"Hope you like it. xxx G"

Inside she found a small pendant – exactly the one as it turned out – as the one that Hermione had commented wistfully on during one of their clandestine dates.

When she found Ginny at the breakfast table, no answers were given, just a toothy grin and a wink as Ginny took a bite of her toast.

Eventually, after many failed attempt to snag Ginny as she was coming out of class, Hermione managed to catch her during her study hall – questions reeling throughout her head.

"How? Where? When?" she wanted to ask – instead finding herself taken by surprise as Ginny's apple flavored lip-gloss found its way to Hermione's mouth - effectively silencing her. The questions died in her head as calloused fingertips found their way around Hermione's waist, pulling her closer, needing more contact – heartbeats elevating.

Just as soon as it started, it stopped – the questions appearing out of nowhere back in Hermione's head. She didn't get a chance to vocalize; a finger on her now kissed and sticky lips.

"Happy anniversary" was all Ginny could get in – a light bulb going off in Hermione's head – before Hermione managed to show Ginny how grateful she was.

Fin.

I'd hope you know the drill by now, but if you don't, know that I am always pleased to hear from people en masse.
