A/N: Because Rivetra is now consuming my life. I was listening to Samson by Regina Spektor and well this one-shot slipped through my fingers.
Their lips met without a warning.
There were no side-way looks or hand pushes against each other. Not even a sigh that worked as a stop signal. There was only a pair of lips sharing forbidden breaths.
It may have seemed like the kiss could last forever, but Petra remembered this was her Captain and not a wish she could be selfish about.
"Captain, I..." she mumbled, breaking herself away from Levi.
His only response was an annoyed sigh.
Petra looked up and saw Levi's serious face. She thought the candlelight against his flesh was the closest thing to warmth she would ever see from him. It sadden her that it wasn't warmth of his own, but being Humanity's Strongest meant having a heart of stone.
"For once," Levi said quietly, snapping Petra out of her train of thought. "For once you could be reckless, if that's what you want."
Petra's eyes widen. Was Captain Levi being serious?! Did the words she just heard came out of the same mouth she just tasted?
"But can you be reckless too, Captain?" Petra questioned.
Though hard to see, Levi was taken aback. He thought it was better not to answer. After all, the only one who could get scolded for "improper behavior" was Petra. Not that Levi wanted her to be in trouble, but it was up to her and to her only.
None of them spoke for a while, but Levi grew impatient.
"You are taking too long, make up your mind," he spat.
Biting her lower lip, Petra made her choice. Levi's word were strong, but not scary enough.
Again, their lips met without warning. However, this time Petra was sure that if she fell, no regrets would follow.
A/N: Sorry it was dreadfully short! But this is only the result of listening to a silly, beautiful song. Hopefully in the future (if I receive positive reviews or some favs...) I might write something a little bit more serious! Hope you guys enjoyed this drabble! (as a matter of fact if this story reaches at least five reviews i will extend the entire thing and make it better)
