Sakura rushed to meet Naruto, Shikamaru, Choji, Kiba, and Neji before they went after Sasuke. She called after Naruto and said, "Please Naruto, bring Sasuke back for me!" As he saw her in tears, Naruto struck an awesome Might Guy pose and said, "I'll bring him back,Sakura. That's the promise of a lifetime!" Sakura felt comforted by Naruto's words and said, "Thank you, Naruto." ….
After Naruto and Sasuke's encounter at the Valley of the End, Naruto and the others(except Shikamaru) had to be hospitalized. Even though Naruto had not been able to bring back Sasuke, he reassured her that he intended to keep his promise to her. Later she found out that Naruto and Jiraiya were going to leave for two years for some training. In the meaning, she went to Hokage Tsunade to ask her for some training as well. "You'll go through hell", Tsunade warned her, but Sakura was 's words rang true; it was hell.
Sakura begin to wonder if she had made a rather idiotic decision and pondered giving up. But then she happened to observe Guy-sensei and Lee training together. She remembered how Lee had risked losing his life to a risky surgical procedure so he could continue being a ninja. If Lee was willing to undergo that surgery, then I can survive this hellish training. Sakura vowed that she would not give up and that she would be a splendid ninja, just like Lee-kun.
Gomen, minna-san! I tried to fit more in this chapter, but I lost inspiration after Sakura was watching Lee, and I don't want to do much more until after the timeskip. I'll try to make the next chapter longer. Please accept my apologies.
