So without further ado, here's Dark Halo!

The Dark Halo
I stare out into the sky,
It was late
But not too late,
Late enough to be the evening.
The moon,
its shape similar to a toenail.
The sky,
Beautiful,
its watery, indigo like colour,
I felt like the ocean would fall
onto to the earth,
Washing me away.
The sky's colour,
The Shades of blue
Led to an extravagant blue.
This blue,
mixed with a hint of green,
Made my heart melt.
That was the colour,
It defined my soul,
Calm,
Serine,
Rare,
We don't see that colour often,
Just when the moon was a toenail,
But that came once,
In a blue moon.
I look to see a dark cloud,
hovering,
Strange how it was,
the only cloud,
There were wisps
and small puffs,
But this,
This was,
out of the ordinary.
Then I look,
I see,
I see what
it floats over,
A factory.
Of course,
It seems so obvious,
An evil factory.
Letting out its chemicals
into the air,
But there was something,
eerie,
About that dark cloud,
It didn't disappear,
I figured I passed science for a reason.
If I recall,
Clouds of smoke,
soon become
Invisible,
Its colour gone
And the demented gas
Which Hurt our planet,

Ascends to the infinite skies.
But this cloud,
It was a normal.
So why was it the only one?
It hit me,
A halo.
You remember,
That golden ring,
Hangs over your head,
Those things that angels wear,
Those things that cartoons use,
To prove that they are good,
Worthy,
A saint.
But this wasn't a halo of good,
But of evil.
Its darkness
hangs over the factory,
Symbolizing its
Monsterous ideals.
It showed off its sin,
Showed off what this world
was coming to,
Darkness.
What if we all,
had halos?
Some Show off those gold rings,
While others,
hide their dark clouds.
It would show
Everything.
Their true colours,
Their true life,
Their true souls.
It would expose,
the secrets
we hide.
No more secrets.
No more lies.
No more burdens.
Sounds like paradise.
A world without trouble.
A world without danger.
Everything,
Out in the open.
I like the sound of that,
Or would there be,
Pain?
Suffering?
Despair?
People hide things,
For a reason.
To not hurt,
Those they love.
Maybe it's,
for the best.
Maybe we don't,
need halos,
Just yet.
Maybe it's just best,
If we hide.
