I wrote this on Tumblr and wanted to get Lucifer fans opinions, did I do it justice or completely missed the mark? It's been a VERY long time since I added a Fanfiction. It was a 4 hour drive to Las Vegas and this is just a missing scene I thought about during S03*06 -Vegas with some radish. I decided I liked it as a script instead of a full story, it flowed better.
Ella: This is so great, just a couple of pals out to solve a mystery again. We will find Candy. You know I can't believe how amazing this feels, it's been too long since I took a joy ride. Have you ever driven in the rain with the hood down? It's totally freeing.
Ella rushed out as the wind whipped in her hair, smiling brightly.
Lucifer: Right? Is there a particular reason you forcibly invited yourself along with me Miss Lopez?
Ella: You need me dude. Expert in forensics, among other things remember?
Ella smiled wide and playfully punched his arm.
Lucifer: Well, yes I suppose your expertise may come in handy.
Ella: So do you have any good jams in here or what?
She starts fiddling with the radio dial.
Ella: Oh I love this song,
Spice girls, spice up your life screeches out of the speakers.
Lucifer: Anything but that!
The tyres wine as the car jerks from the press of the brakes momentarily before the drive evens out.
Lucifer: We are not listening to that drivel all the way to Las Vegas. Are you trying to torture me? You know that is played on repeat in hell for some people?
Ella: Okay, Okay. Relax no Spice Girls.
Ella's grin is amused as she mutes the song. She looks around the front seat and picks up his phone in the middle console, to scroll through his music playlist. It's silent for a few minutes.
Ella: Ah found just the thing to make this trip go faster.
The start of a guitar rift blasts out the speakers, smoke on the water by deep purple comes to life in the convertible.
Lucifer: Well, Well, Miss Lopez you are just full of surprises. A very good choice indeed.
Ella starts to sing in an over the top loud voice and turns her head to smile at Lucifer as he joins her on the Second line. This is how the rest of the car drive passes. And Ella can't be more content as the silence she hears in her head is a welcome relief.
