The hot Mexican sun beat down on Carmen as she walked through the thick crowd of people. Her black cropped "Serpents of Rock" tee stuck to her thin figure as she finally reached the end of the street. She took another look behind her before leaning on the pole which read, "Parada de Autobus". The bus could be heard because of it's loud engine and air conditioner. Smiling, she used her feet to push herself off the pole before she felt a hand tugging her away.
"Carmen. I told you to stay away from Dom!" the raven-haired girl in front of her yelled, leading her to an abandoned alley-way.
"Sue me for being curious of his whereabouts" she shouted, taking her arm out of the grasp and crossing both of them. Her sister ran her hand through her now long hair and sighed.
"If he finds you, he finds me. I can't let him. I can't let him be put in that situation! You know that!" she shouted back. Suddenly, a large man appeared at the end of the alleyway.
"Yo! Little girls!" He shouted before they turned around. When they did, his mind went into a mental shock. But his feet reacted when they took off. "Come back here!"
Carmen dragged her sister to the left, jumping over a small table full of bananas and oranges and other various fruits. The man in charge of the table looked angry but not as angry as when Dom jumped over it, almost causing the table to tip over. Dom didn't care though. His eyes were set on the 2 black haired girls that were hurriedly pushing through the throng of people on the sidewalk.
"Perdon" they repeated, trying to get through the people before Dom got to them. When they finally reached the crosswalk, they ran faster until they reached the sidewalk, Dom still hot on their trail. They were almost to the apartment.
"Go up the fire escape and through the window. Open the door for me and then, when he gets there, lock the door. Pack some extra clothes and the important stuff only, okay Carmen?" she ordered, pushing Carmen towards the fire escape. Carmen could only nod as she sprinted up the stairs to the top floor. When she reached her window, she quickly broke it and walked in.
Dom followed the other girl up to the top floor before she hurried into an apartment and tried to close the door. But his foot stopped it.
"Go away Dom!" she yelled, pushing uselessly against the door.
"Not a chance Letty!" He shouted back, pushing against the door with force until Letty was pushed onto the floor and he was able to come in. "Not until I get an explanation". He stated, crossing him arms over his chest.
