Through Kenji's Eyes

Think of this poem as Usagi's father, Kenji, reflecting on Usagi. I wrote this poem when looking at one particular picture in the Manga #3 of Sailor Moon when he states that Usagi does not look like Usagi. Please read and review.

Author's Notes:

Just a little thing I whipped up while working on a program, you know a little
distraction is always good for the brain. Anyway, this is based on Tsukino
Kenji's point of view. Based on one little picture that I found in Sailor Moon
Manga #3 when Kenji states that Usagi doesn't look like Usagi anymore.

Through Father's Eyes

I remember when
She was just a baby
So young and innocent
And so full of life

As she learned
To stand on her two feet
She learned to hop
Before she learned to walk

A little bunny
A little innocent bunny
That's what Usagi is
Will always be

Into the teens she grew
And almost overnight
She was no longer
The little bunny I once knew

I look at her now
As she grows
From fourteen
To fifteen

She does not look
Like a little bunny
But an older bunny
Still innocent nonetheless

But she looks different
Like it is no longer
My little Usagi
Like she is someone else

I know she will always
Be innocent Usagi
But she'll no longer be
My little bunny Usagi
