Prologue

A white wolf dances through a field, an unknown field. It's like nothing I've ever seen, Kiba thought. Flat in the center stood a giant cheery blossom tree with lunar flowers growing all around it. At first Kiba had believed for this to be Paradise, in till he saw a human. Paradise was for wolves only, never humans.

It was a small boy with a big black-brown dog at his side. He was talking to a young woman. No, a wolf. This girl was a wolf like himself.

She stood in her human form, dressed in a white kimono with flame-like crimson markings on it, closely resembling wings. Her skin was pale and her pale manicured finger nails painted a light pink not much darker. Her eyes were invisible.

She had the scent of the sun. Of cheery blossoms and freshly cut grass, but also of the moon. Of snowy pine trees and lunar flowers.

The light wind played in her long white hair as she moved with the grace only a wolf could posses.

It shocked Kiba when she shifted into her wolf form right in front of the human boy, but the boy took no notice as if she did this all the time.

Her wolf form was one of high beauty. The strangest, most mesmerizing and most beautiful that Kiba had ever seen.

Her fur was mostly white with the same flame-like crimson markings on her back as on her kimono and mask-like markings of the same color surrounding her eyes. Kiba could see her shining eyes now. Silver with light gold specks in them, nothing like a normal wolf. Floating above her back was a red disc with ice-fire like plumes coming out of it. Blue and orange flames surrounding the shiny mirror-like disc.

She walked around the boy and left the field through a strange gate, not even realizing that Kiba was there. The young boy followed her out silently.

Suddenly out of nowhere, there was a blow to Kiba's chest and he woke with a start.
