It was just another normal day on Earth. Another ordinary and boring day. The young teen known as Kayla was walking home from school, otherwise known as her living hell. She was just fine in the academics, but the other kids were the problem. She wasn't normal, she had a disability known as Aspergers Syndrome. It was very mild but it still made her think differently from the others and get a bit more agitated. It wasn't her fault she was that way, it was just how she was made. Years of being bullied and not being listened to taught her to just turn her cheek to the problems. The only thing that brought her happiness was her games. Video Games to be exact. Out of her hundreds of games Skylanders was her favorite of all. She would play the games constantly, making all of her Skylanders maxed out. She would always stare out into the stars from her window and wonder, wish, and hope that maybe somewhere that land did exist even if it was a stupid thing to wish for.
She turned to her many shelves full of video games and pulled out one of her many Skylanders games. She inserted the disk into her console as she went to go to her bin full of Skylanders. She wished she could have them in a more comfortable living space, even if they were just toys. She would even talk to them sometimes. Just simple things like 'great job!' Or 'we'll get them next time'. As she was pulling out her favorite Skylander named Flashwing something caught her attention. Her crystal amulet.
She had gotten that thing so long ago. She wore it all the time. More than she should. All she remembered was she saw it at a stand during her vacation to Disney World and she instantly knew she had to have it, but it had never glowed before. She went over to pick it up from her bedside table before it got so bright that she had to look away. She knew this wasn't right at all. Dropping the crystal, she ran behind her bed, observing the crystal from afar, until it engulfed her in light, blinding her from what was about to happen next.
