Between Mori and Kyouya it was always a battle for dominance. Even though Mori was the tallest and strongest, Kyouya had a natural authority about him, and therefore they always ended up battling for it. It didn't help much that Kyouya was stubborn and refused to be dominated.
But it wasn't all about the dominance. Mori just wanted to protect Kyouya, like he did with Hunny, and he wanted to take care of him. But Kyouya thought that he always took care of others, so he wanted to take care of Mori for once.
It was a battle for dominance, between them. But it was also a battle of who should take care of who. It wasn't a war, it was a battle of love.
