A/N : This happens a few years after Sasuke's departure...
It's was a strange night, Sakura thought. She was exhausted training with Tsunade-shishou in the morning and was busy doing some paperwork in the evening. Yet, she couldn't sleep. Sakura tossed and turned and ended up sitting upright in her bed. That time, she remembered her love, Sasuke. "I wondered if you couldn't sleep like me too, Sasuke-kun" she whispered as she started remembering the night where Sasuke-kun left her on the cold bench with a note beside her.
At that memory, she quickly got up and opened her side desk. She found the note that she always kept since then. She brought it to the fade glow of the moon. As she read it, she remembered how Sasuke's reaction when she let out her words about how she loved him. As he reappeared behind her, he hugged her lightly before Sasuke made her unconscious. 'Thank you, when the time comes, I'll come back ', the note says in Sasuke's handwriting. After reading it, Sakura felt hot tears flooded her eyes before creating streams down her silky cheeks. She was a bit confused when she wiped away the tears, why suddenly she become so emotional. She heard a soft footstep and turned to see the full moon glowing through her window. Slowly opening the window, the freezing breeze twirled through and shivers her.
She wanted to go out, so she grabbed a red yukata and wrap it around her. She crawled out from the window and hopped up to the roof to get a clear view of the full moon. As she gazed at the moon, she brought the note her chest, closed her eyes and prayed silently for Sasuke's safety. "I hope you will come back safely…. Sasuke-kun" Little that she knew, a pair of red eyes was watching from a distance. Sasuke was watching her, since she was tossing on her bed, reading his note at the window, crawling out from the window and heard her praying for him. He has to admit that he was a bit fluttered when she still cared for him.
As Sakura opened her eyes, the moon seems to glow even more and the wind breezes around her, making her dreaming. A moment later, a figure appeared behind her. It was déjà vu; she quickly turned to see whoever was behind her, just to be pulled against a hard body. He whispered "I'm sorry..." her eyes widen. Then, slowly it closed as she went unconscious. Next thing she knew, she was on her bed with the blanket covering her and surprisingly, her yukata was still on! Confused, she got up and trying to remember what happened. A moment later, she went blushed. 'Was that… Sasuke-kun hugged me?' Covering her face, she felt something in her hand. Opening her hand, she found two notes, one is old one and the other is new. 'Happy Birthday, My Sakura' Sakura was stunned, blushing even more. As she held a shy smile, she raised the note to her chest, and found another surprise!
A little heart-shaped soft pink diamond cling to a silver ring was hung from her neck with a silver chain. She holds the ring in her slender fingers, examine the beauty. Sakura was shocked though, that she almost forgot her birthday today. And Sasuke-kun wished to her first. She felt a carving in the ring and brought it closer to see it. She held her breath; it was most beautiful carving you'll ever see. It says…
