She had been made first, with fire red eyes and short brown hair that flowed around her face like the leafless branches of a weeping willow before the winter's frost and snow set in. Her voice was deep, warm, and husky with a sharpness to it when it reached higher octaves. Her song was barely heard before the child of the expansive sky and endless ocean was created. He was as blue as both in hair and eyes, and carried deep and clear melodies. She was the child of fire and earth, and he the mirror of air and water.

They fit together, but in time the tempermental fire caused the easy going and drifting water to leave her side when more were made. A girl of green, much like the lively ivy vines that, for all their beauty, choked out other life was his choice. The first born's melody faded away into memory as the Ivy took her beloved, and the two children of the sun rose to take their places as the fourth ones.

In her lonliness and age, she discovered the secret of the world created around them, and the whisper of reality beyond all of them. The knowledge broke her heart, but more so was the fact that she was alone. Until another was made. A samurai of purple hair and blue eyes, he was not as prevelant as those before. He struggled with the feeling there was something more, but the uncertainty as to what it was, and reached out to her.

Even as this was happening, the blue child of air and water was beginning to see through the cracks of the universe that surrounded him, and to learn the truth.

That was the beginning of the Artificial Paradise.
