Despite his infamously short temper, Sunstreaker honestly didn't mind the amount of babbling that Bluestreak did. Even if he didn't always pay exact attention to what the young Datsun was on about, he enjoyed the sound of his voice, the cadence he fell into, just the simple rise and fall of his tone. It came as something of a surprise to most mechs - Bluestreak included, to be honest - but it was a fact nonetheless, and the gunner cheerily fell into the habit of prattling endlessly to his older lover.
This strange patience, however, was understandably worn thin in the late hours of the night. Sunstreaker was unsure of what on Cybertron Bluestreak could possibly be talking about at... 4 am? Primus, this was just ridiculous. And the golden mech wasn't getting to sleep if the Datsun just kept going... Groaning, he rolled on his side, facing the smaller mech and throwing an arm over his chassis. Undeterred, Bluestreak continued his speech, monologuing on about... car shows? Yes, he seemed to be babbling about the human's automobile shows for some Primus-forsaken reason. "Blue, what are you even..."
"Well, don't'cha think they're kinda funny? I mean, well, a lot of things end up funny in a silly way, considering we transform into cars and stuff, but - "
"Bluestreak," Sunstreaker said, finally onlining his optics and looking at the younger 'bot. The gunner finally silenced, gazing back at the golden twin with dim blue optics, and that was when he took note of just how blearily those optics were focused. Bluestreak was nearly out of his processor with tiredness, but was, for some reason, persisting with his usual talk. "It's four in the morning."
"Yeah, but - "
"But nothing," the golden Lamborghini grumbled, moving his arm to wrap it more around Bluestreak's waist and pull him closer. "Go to sleep already. I'm not going to have Prowl on my aft about you. Again." Seeming to oblige, the Datsun snuggled into Sunstreaker's frame, tucking his helm underneath the larger mech's chin. Despite his gruffness, the twin knew full well every reason behind the little grey mech's incessant chattering - but then, he'd thought he'd proved it to Bluestreak already; he was fully capable of keeping the nightmares at bay.
