"Casey!" the annoyingly perky voice of Lizzi called up the stairs. "You have a gentleman caller!"
Casey sighed. "I wonder what Rusty needs now."
Ashleigh looked up from her magazine and smiled. "You are the big sister. Isn't it part of the job description?"
Casey walked down the stairs. "Yeah, Rust…?"
Cappie turned around.
"Sorry." She said. "Lizzy must have thought you were here for me. I'll go get Rebecca."
"Wait." He said, grabbing her wrist. "Can you talk?"
She nodded, and they walked over to the couch and sat down. "What's up?"
"Rusty told me about the safety net thing."
Casey narrowed her eyes. "I'll kill him!"
"Hold on a minute." Cappie exclaimed. "Before you go kill one of my pledges, hear me out."
"Fine." She let a breath out. "Talk so I can go murder the creep."
"First of all," Cappie started. "You don't need a safety net. Case, you're an amazing person on your own, and you don't need anyone. Though, frankly, some pie every once in a while would do you some good." He said suggestively.
"Rebecca." Casey reminded him.
"Point. Okay, second, even if you do fall, I'll still be there. No matter whom we date, I'll still catch you. We're friends. I care about you. No one is going to change that."
Casey nodded. He smiled at her then said, "I gotta go now." Using a feminine voice he asked, "Will you walk me to the door?"
She laughed. "No problem Cap."
He pulled her to her feed, and Casey wrapped her arms around his neck. "Thank you."
Cappie pulled her a little closer, and tightened his hold around her waist. "I told you, I'll always be there for you."
Then, Rebecca came down stairs; Casey pulled away, gave a weak smile, and then hurried upstairs. And Cappie was left looking at night, which even with all it's starts will never compare to day. Rebecca took note of the look in his eyes, and knew no matter what any of them said, Casey was Cappie's, and Cappie was Casey's, and it would only be in a world with no Casey Cartwright that anything would ever seriously happened between Cappie and another girl. Including Rebecca.
I had the best dream last night. It involved Greek only it was sort of AU. It took place the summer after sophomore year and after Cappie and Casey broke up. They were all at Casey's parent's house, but Evan didn't exist. I can't really remember much else, but it was sooooo awesome. There were fluff CC moments galore!
Anyway, about my story, there is a sequel!!
Please review.
