(I don't own KuroShitsuji!)
She sat in her quarters. The picture in her hands was the one thing she loved. Because it was a photo of the one person she loved. A beautiful, faithful, caring man. But a dark, mysterious, cold man all at the same time. Sebastian. She held it close to her chest, leaning against the wall. A tear rolled down her cheek, glistening in the dim moonlight. It splashed against the picture. She stood, moving to her dresser. She wasn't going to cry any longer. Every night, she would sit, wishing her knight in a black butler's uniform would come save her from her despair. She slowly unbuttoned the top of her uniform, folding and placing it in it's drawer. She slid off her skirt, hanging it up. She donned her nightclothes, a short, yet modest, night gown with a flowing skirt. She removed the ribbons from her hair, then her glasses. She glanced at the picture again. Overcome with grief, she fell to her knees, knocking over a glass pitcher, along with his photograph. She tried to catch it before falling . The glass shattered, some shards cutting her hands, she let out a small squeak of pain. There was a soft knock on the door.
"Mey Rin…?" A deep, soothing voice sounded from her door.
"N-no! Don't come in!" She yelled, her voice shaken by tears.
"Are you hurt?" She made no noise in response. The door suddenly crashed open and Sebastian was standing in the room, like an angel in the night. He rushed over to infer what was the problem. She was shaking, her hands soaked in blood. He turned her over, noticing a paper clenched in her fists. Her eyes were wide opened in fear.
"Mey Rin?" He swept matted hair out of her face. "What is the matter?" He delicately tried to grasp the paper in her hands, but she only clutched it tighter. He sighed, lifting her up smoothly. He walked up the stairs into the parlor. He set her down on the hardwood flooring, shoving a pillow under her head. She was passed out. He gathered her hair up in a ribbon, tying it out of the way. He then slowly moved her arms down. He picked up the paper. It was a picture. He could hardly see the image through the blood. He set the picture down beside him. He started to tear open her dress to inspect her wounds, when he took a second look at the picture. It was of him. His worried expression turned into shock. He could tell by the puffiness under her eyes she had been crying. Because of him.
"Mey Rin. You wont like this." he sighed, swiftly tearing her dress down the front. He removed a pair of tweezers from one of his pockets. He collected the shards of glass from the large wound in her chest, moving to her hands. Once all the glass was collected, he leaned back on his heels. The maid stirred slightly. He bent over her, his mouth forming a grim line. He put one hand on her cheek. Her eyes fluttered open, staring blankly into his. He brushed a few stray strands of hair out of her face.
"Se- Sebastian…" she whispered, smiling sadly. She shivered slightly. Since he had ruined her nightdress, he removed his tailcoat, draping it over her. He took his handkerchief, wiping blood from her face.
"Would you like to tell me what happened?" He asked. A wave went through her whole body. One of her hands moved up to her chest. Feebly, she wrapped her hand around his collar. Shaking, she pulled him down quickly, pressing her lips softly into his. Her knight in a black butler's uniform had finally saved her.
