"What's wrong, Neville?" Hermione asked as they walked to the Great Hall for lunch.
He sighed angrily, "I get so many points taken from Gryffindor- I would be able to handle being constantly told off if it weren't for how it always affects our House!"
"You haven't had any points taken today,"
"Sh! Don't jinx it!" He lifted his finger to mouth level and looked around as if a teacher would appear out of the shadows.
"No one's here but us, Neville." She sighed. "Maybe if you asked for extra lessons or got a tutor… do you hear that?"
They listened for a moment and searched out the origin of the slight murmuring noises. "I think it's coming from the classroom," he pointed to a door just ahead of them, almost trembling in fear.
Hermione looked from the door to Neville and back, "I'll see what's in there,"
"No, you might get in trouble- I'm going to have to get in trouble and lose points some time today; it may as well be now." He said, the cynical part of him showing through. He crept to the door and took in a steadying breath, "One, two, three!" he flung the door open and shoved his head inside, unwilling to let himself duck out in fear. "Ah! Professor Snape! Madam Hooch!" He stared, dumbfounded, at the two teachers wrapped in each others arms and snogging quite energetically.
"DETENTION, MR. LONGBOTTOM!" Professor Snape bellowed through slightly swollen lips, one arm still tightly wrapped around Madam Hooch's body as he slammed the door. "AND FIFTY POINTS REMOVED!"
Neville drew away from the closed door slowly, looked at Hermione with wide eyes, and in a shaky voice, asked "See, what did I tell you?"
So? How'd I do? I thought that I should at least try to put something good out there while revising my other stories, you know, keep the creative juices flowing in more than just the one direction for too long... REVIEW?
