This is extremely short, just to tell you. And these are also just some thoughts Buffy has sometime after Spike dies at the end of Season 7. This is also implied Spuffy, so beware...
My first Buffy fic, so... uhhhh... be cool! xD
Untitled
The world seemed to have fallen that day. Seemed to have ended. Although the war was long over, the battle was only beginning. Only being born; crawling with hopelessness and destruction. And along with something evil being brought into the planet, there was also something good. Something good and unexpected. Fate.
She was glad that that word existed. It existed in everyone's minds, hearts, and bodies; sometimes taking over. But, sometimes, that kind of power that that one simple four letter word held frightened her. As well as angered her. The one man who stood by her side always was now gone because of fate. He shouldn't be; he shouldn't have. But, now, he was with her in spirit. She could feel it. He was still fighting by her side. Still believing in her.
At times, she wished that everything was back to the way it used to be. Of course, though, not everything was that simple. It never was. Never will be.
She always wanted to go back to that fateful day. That day that included the four letter word. She wanted, with all of her might, to go back and tell the man she wanted that she needed him. To tell him that all those times she denied him, she only wanted to bring him closer. To feel his touch and to feel his lips against her own. To just let him know she would always have faith in him.
But, that wasn't possible. It would be so much easier if it was.
And even though everything seemed to have fallen right through her fingertips… even though everything seemed to have ended… it was indeed just the beginning. The beginning of her new life. Her new life with her friends. Her new life with limitless possibilities. The beginning of her.
If only Spike would've realized… when Buffy said she had loved him… she meant it.
Though he disappeared, her love for him never would.
And she couldn't feel it.
She knew it.
Hope you liked it! Good reviews are highly appreciated as well as constructive criticisms. Try not to flame! Thank you.
