republic of gamers idea looking for input for more ideas

this gives the basic idea of what im thinking. im looking for ideas/inspiration to see if this thing will get off the ground. all ideas will be looked at, good/really good ideas will be considered for use.

republic of gamers

in place of MLG, participants compete at local level, then city regional, then state, then regonal, then national

winner (possibly also have a vice president) collaborates with gaming industry to helps make games be close to what players will actually enjoy. 2 runner ups from each state at state level act as 'congress'

ive got a basic idea, but im looking for more input, all ideas welcome, good ideas will be considered.
