Totally exhausted from work she flopped down on her bed and closed her eyes. She still saw the bright light of the Fire. Just a few Hours ago Lin was fighting against a bunch of firebenders who were rubbing a bank. Of course she caught them with her metalbenders and arrested them.
Suddenly there was the shrill whistling of the kettle. Her wrist cracked when she lifted herself up. The Chief of Republic City who seems like she's made of Titanium slouched along the hall into the kitchen, her shoulders haning down. The scent of Jasmine Tea filled her appartment.
The knock on the door roused her. "Coming!", she said annoyed. The first thing she recognized were the grey eyes. With which she was in love with, since her childhood. "Oh it's you.", she gestured to let him in. "I just wanted to look after you. I heard you had a pretty bad fight with some Firebenders.", "Yeah. I'm alright. Don't you have anything better to do than visiting me?". She filled her cup with hot water. "Tea?", "Lin, listen. I know that you're not feeling well with this between us. But I know that you have still the same feelings for me as I have them for you.". He rested his hand on her shoulder. "Of course I'm not feeling well, Genius. You're married and have children. How do you expect me to feel?". Tenzin dropped his head. "But you're still my best friends. And as your best friend I still care for you. Are you wounded?". The hot cup in her hand nearly burned her hand. She lead him into the living room to sit down and put her cup on the table. "No I'm fine. They didn't get me.". He sat next to her. "Fine, but as I know you, you seem to like lying to me. So would you let me have a look?". She sighed and bended her armor off. As he Put her hand into his and started to let his left hand float over her arm. She felt the cool breeze which came along with his hand moves. She was surprised by his heart beat. It was normal not as fast as it was always when she was near him. But her heartbeat was racing. Finally their gazes met. He saw the passion in her eyes. The sparks were still there. She leaned on his chest. The rare sunlights were falling on her pale skin. "Thanks that you've come. I really need you now.", "I will always be here for you Lin. You have to know that.".
The sun began to set down as they laid down in the sofa. Tenzin stroking thorugh Lin's grey, soft hair. He felt her heart beat getting slower and how she was falling asleep in his arms. "Like old times.", he whispered.
