Maddy Smith was not a liar. She wasn't! Sometimes she just had to…ah…bend the truth slightly, because of her…special circumstances. Oh come on, she was a teen girl/wolf hybrid trying to balance her supernatural instincts with her school work. She deserved to be cut some slack.
That's why, when Shannon invited the gang over for a revision night before their big chemistry exam, she was sure the universe hated her. Maybe she was a mass murderer in a past life. Glancing nervously at Rhydian, she could only hope that he would handle things like he usually did.
However the moment they locked eyes, her hope went out like a light. She could almost hear his evil inner monologue: Come on Maddy! You've got to get better at making up excuses so I'll be a horrible friend and let you take this one!
She realised that she had been standing here like a brick wall for a while and her friends were giving her weird looks. "Oh ummm…I'm sorry Shan but…errrrr…me and Rhydian, I-we are…studying?
Shannon rolled her eyes, "Yeah Maddy, I know. That's kinda what I thought we would all be doing when I invited you over for a revision night…"
The temperature went up about 500°.
"Uh yeah but I was looking forward to it…just being us…" As soon as she said the words, she wished wolfbloods had the power of invisibility. Or time travel. Shannon looked shocked and slightly disgusted, Tom looked like she'd kicked a puppy and Rhydian was smirking cockily.
"Sorry guys Maddy just really enjoys studying with me. You could say we had great, ah, chemistry!" the boy grinned at his own joke. He was dead, so dead, next time she transformed-. "She really values our alone time an-"
"Sorrygottagomamsmakingmeatlo af!" she rambled dragging Rhydian away before he could dig a bigger hole. Or notice the way her cheeks were an interesting shade of magenta.
Dam Maddy is awkward!Ok guys just had to post this to get rid of my maddian/wolfblood feels. So enjoy and review review review! J
