You yawned and glanced at the clock. The glowing red display read 11:02. You sighed. Time for bed. As you pulled on your pajamas, you heard a noise behind you. You were about to turn around when someone's arms wrapped around your waist. Someone's warm breath washed over the back of your neck, and you stiffened at the smell of alcohol.
"Who-" One of the hands at your waist moved, and suddenly you were facing the other direction, and a pair of tawny eyes were staring into your own.
"Hello there." You gasped at the Marks twining across the boy's skin, and the thin scars on his arms and collar bone.
"Jace?" Jace grinned. He looked different from what you'd imagined; his hair was longer and curly, his cheekbones more defined. His hair was mussed, his eyes glazed. He leaned forward, one hand moving upward to rest between your shoulder blades.
"You know me." He seemed distinctly pleased at that. "That's good, because I know you, name." You shivered.
"What are you..." You trailed off as he leaned closer still and pulled you against him.
"Sh..." Then he pressed his lips to yours. He tasted of liquor and salt and something else you couldn't identify, but was distinctly masculine. He seemed to be enjoying himself, too; he moaned with pleasure and slid your shirt up with his hand. A small sound of surprise escaped you, and you tried to pull away, but his hands didn't move- he didn't even seem to notice your efforts. Finally he came up for air, and you managed to extract yourself from his embrace.
"Jace, what's going on? What are you doing here?" He grinned and cocked his head to the side.
"I came for you, of course." His voice was low and rough, his eyes like molten gold as he stared at you hungrily. He moved forward, and before you could react, he scooped you up, laid you down on the bed, and climbed in next to you, his arms wrapped around you. You slowly found your panic growing as he nuzzled your neck and pulled you against him. He had his arms wrapped loosely around your waist, and one leg under you. A jolt of surprise went through you- you were cuddling with Jace Wayland. Or rather, he was cuddling with you. You could sense his grin as he snuggled closer and pulled the blanket up over you. The smell of alcohol was much stronger now.
"Are you drunk?"
"Possibly. that last Jägerbomb might have done it." you sighed and tried to get up, but Jace tightened his grip on you. "No. Stay." You scowled."Jace, I'm not cuddling with you when you're drunk! I don't even know you!" He growled and pulled your body flush against his, his arms tightening possessively around your waist.
"No, name. You're staying here. Stop arguing." You opened your mouth to do just that, but he interrupted you. "Come on. I promise I won't do anything. I'll be gone before your parents realize I was ever here. Just tonight, to sleep off the alcohol?" You sighed, biting your lip anxiously.
"I suppose... just tonight. And no funny business." Jace grinned and buried his face in your hair, breathing in deeply as you tried to make yourself comfortable in his arms. then he laughed softly.
"Rest your head on my arm." You squeaked in protest as he gently moved your head so it rested on his bicep. His other arm draped over your waist. It was pretty comfortable, almost cozy, and despite everything, you found yourself falling asleep. As you drifter off, Jace kissed your cheek. "Sleep well, name."
