Raven and I were sitting on the couch, nodding along to the heavy metal music on her Ipod, one ear bud in her ear, one in mine. I looked at her, sliding my eyes along her beautiful, angelic face. I chuckled to myself at the thought.
'Raven…most people would not see her as angelic.'
She shifted, and woke me from my thoughts.
"I'll be back in a sec, kay?"
I nodded, barely hiding a smile, as this gave me the perfect opportunity. She left her Ipod on the couch, and I quickly touched the "wallpaper" app.
A few seconds later, I found what I was looking for, set it as her wallpaper, and went to the kitchen to make her some herbal tea.
(Raven's POV)
I walked back to the living room, and noticed that Beast Boy was in the kitchen. I frowned, as I had hoped he would have stayed on the couch. I had something I need to tell him. I grabbed my Ipod, pressed the button to unlock it, and froze. Instead of the small, black raven, which I had set as my wallpaper, there was a note.
You mean the world to me. Nothing will ever come between us. No matter what anybody says or does, you will always be in my heart. Forever and ever…
Your spot will never be replaced. You hold the key to my heart and you have since we met. I will love you forever. And no matter how much we fight, things will be okay. Like I said, I will love you forever. No matter what.
I blushed, and then smiled. This would make it so much easier. I walked to the kitchen, and immediately noticed the pot of water boiling on the stove.
"Hey Rae. I thought I would make you some tea, although I'm not sure how it's gonna turn out."
I waited patiently for the tea, and when he was done, I took a small sip.
"Best tea ever." And I wasn't just making that up, it seriously was. It was much better than any tea I had made myself.
"Would you like a taste?" I held the cup out to him, and he took it uncertainly.
"It can't kill me, so why not?" he joked.
'No, but I could…' I shook the thought out of my head. It had taken me years to get under control, to muster the courage to tell him. I was not going to let a stupid thought ruin my day.
"Dang. I drank it all."
I looked at him a smiled, then poured some more in the cup.
"Thank you," was all I said at first.
"For what?"
"For the message that was on my Ipod."
His face turned bright red, and he swallowed nervously. I just smiled, and walked closer to him.
"And for the record, I feel the same way."
I pressed my lips to his, breathing his wonderful scent in deeply. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me closer. Behind me, a window shattered, and I pulled away.
"Dang."
He just smiled.
