Mullet Fingers always has his own way of letting me know he wants to hang out. So when I found the show with the mullet fish on my front porch when I got home yesterday, I grinned and ran inside to throw my backpack on the kitchen table before running back outside.
"Hey, Tex," Mullet smiled, leaning against the palm tree in our front yard.
"Hey," I grinned back. "What's the plan for today?"
"Follow me and find out," he smirked disappearing into the tress on the side of the house.
I ran to catch up but was pulled back when I ran past one of the bigger palms.
"What- oomph," I grumbled once I was pushed against the tree.
"You're home late," Mullet said.
"Yeah, well, I got detention," I admitted.
"What you do, Tex?" he asked, a sense of pride in his voice.
"I freed the frogs that we were going to dissect."
He grinned before leaning forward and pressing his lips to mind. He smiled into my lips before pulling away. "My little outlaw," he laughed before leaning in to kiss me again, much to my delight.
