Today was a great day, that was about to get even better for a certain hedgehog couple. Sonic had spent the entire day with his beloved Amy Rose. Sonic was 19 and Amy was 17, both were happily together. They had just come back from Meh Burger, on their regular dates. Sonic was preparing to ask Amy to marry him, something that he should have done a long time ago. They were currently taking a bare-foot stroll on the sandy beach, chatting and laughing. The sun was beginning to set, creating a lovely sky consisting of yellow, blue, orange, red, and various other colors. Amy looked at her beloved hedgehog smiling. "Thanks again for the lovely date Sonic." she said kissing him on the cheek. Sonic grinned. "Your welcome. Although, it did take quite a while for our food to get done, due to Dave's carelessness." Sonic replied. Amy giggled, recalling when Dave kept dropping the Meh Burgers on the dirty floor. "It was entertaining." she laughed. causing Sonic to laugh along. They both looked at the sky and smiled. "Almost time..." Sonic thought to himself. "Wow. The sky sure looks lovely. Spending my time with my lover, and walking on the beach during a perfect atmosphere. Can it get more perfect than this?" Amy sighed happily. The sun had finally set, setting the perfect mood for Sonics proposal. Sonic took a deep breath then spoke. "Well Amy, it can get more perfect than this." Sonic responded. Amy looked at him, a little curiously.
Sonic held both her hands and cleared his throat. "Amy, since the first day I met you, I felt something strong in my heart. At first, it seemed like a regular crush on you but, as time went by, my feelings for you have gotten stronger, as they still do today. Although I could never summon the courage to ask you out for years, I have always been in love with you. I know there have been times where I have gotten you mad or upset, which I am sorry for, we have overcome those moments. And, through all we have been through together, I think you are the most beautiful, toughest, and kindest girl I have ever met." he said, as Amy's eyes started forming tears. "And I want this moment to be special so I ask... Amy Rose." Sonic said getting on bended knee, pulling out a black box. "Will you marry me?" he finally said, opening it revealing a sparkiling white ring. It had a shiny pink gemstone in the middle. The golden band shined from the sun's reflection, giving it a greater effect. Amy's eyes were currently watering to the max. She had waited for years for this very moment to happen. "Yes.. I WILL MARRY YOU!" She shouted happily. Sonic gently placed the ring on her finger before Amy tackled him to the floor. She pressed her precious lips against Sonics, kissing him with joy. Sonic kissed her back as both hedgehogs were in a state of bliss. As much as they wanted this kiss to last forever, they had to catch their breath. Amy smiled happily and hugged Sonic tightly. "This is the best day of my life Sonic!" She said, with tears still dripping. "Mine too Ames." he replied. Amy helped Sonic to his feet and the engaged couple walked back home to tell their friends the fantastic news. This was truly, a moment worth waiting for...
