The Avatar State

Chapter 1

Here I am. My best friend and I sitting in front of the television, waiting. Waiting for our other friends to arrive. We were going to have an Avatar: The Last Air Bender marathon. It was storming out so I couldn't blame our friends for being late. They finally arrived. It was 7:30 and the show started at 8:00. So we had time to get blankets, and popcorn, and ice cream and, things like that. Things for a movie marathon. We were all at Lynn's house, my best friend. When everybody arrived, Aylinn, Melanie, Scottie, and David we all got comfortable in the living room and waited until the show started.

Aylinn has long blonde hair. Blue eyes and she is tall. Lynn has short dirty blonde hair. Bright blue eyes and she is pretty tall too. Scottie has long hair (for a guy) blue eyes and always wares his blue sweatshirt that is too big for him. David has short blonde hair. He has such short hair it looks like a buzz cut. Brown eyes, and is the shortest out of all of us. I have long brown hair, blue eyes and have many, many freckles.The weird thing is that everybody else's house was out of electricity. Only Lynn's house had electricity.

"You guys… don't you think it is weird that we are the only ones to have electricity on the whole block?" Aylinn asked.

"Just shut up and watch the T.V!" Lynn yelled. Finally the new episode of Avatar. We all love this show and couldn't wait for it to come on. All of a sudden a lighting bolt struck Lynn's house and the electricity went out.

"OH MY GOD WERE GONNA DIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEE" Scottie yelled.

"SHUT UP WE AREN'T GOING TO DIE."I yelled back. Lynn's mom wasn't home so she found candles and a lighter and lit them. I helped her look for flash lights because I know my way around their house very well. So we finally found a flash light and turned it on. We all gathered in the living room huddled up together because it was cold with out the electricity to give us heat.

"Mmmaabby wawawawe shoullllld goooooo t t to th the n neiba ba ba neighbors hoooouseee." David stuttered.

"NNNo wwwe shoulllld leearrrn tt-ooo suuurv iiive onnn ouuur owwwn." Lynn said

"NOO weee wiillll frreeezzzeee." I said.

"Mmmmaybbe wee shoulld tttry ttoooo falll allssslllleepp." I said. Then we all fell asleep huddled together. I woke up in the middle of the night and every one was gone. And I wasn't in Lynn's house anymore. I didn't even have the same clothes on! I had an orange tee-shirt and a cream colored bib type thing over it. I had an orange skirt on with a cream colored bandage wrap wrapped up my legs. I assumed the bandage was to keep my legs warm. And I had orange shoes on.

"These clothes look like something from… no… it can't be." I said to my self in my head.

"I am in the Avatar world." I said out loud.

"Yeah were else would you be?" asked a voice from behind me. I turned around. IT WAS TOPH! Toph from the show Avatar.

"Oh I was just thinking if I'm in the Avatar world then wouldn't there be a different world where aliens live or something." I said just to make it sound like I was from there.

"Come with me I have something to show you." Toph said. So she led me through a cave, down a hill, and up some mountains and we were there.

"OH MY..." I gasped. It was a village. And you are all saying what's so "OMG" about a village in the Avatar world. Well this time was different. As soon as Toph earth bended the doors open, (the guards wouldn't let us in) all I saw was Aang in the avatar state. With rocks flying at us.

"TOPH!" I yelled.

"GET OUT OF THE WAY!" She yelled back. A big boulder flew towards us as I tried to doge out of the way. Toph stepped in front of me and…
