A/N: a short GU drabble. Misaki Ryou, the player behind Haseo, contemplates his confrontation earlier that day with Aina (the first time, at the end of the dungeon she wanted him to meet her in) wherein she accuses him of abandoning Ovan.

Please to not being angry for no updates. My mind seems to have taken a vacation and refuses to call. It only send the occasional post-card. I'm terribly worried about him...

The Keyhole Perspective

He recalls her face, later, as he lies awke in bed, unable to escape his own thoughts; her face, in all its childish, cutting, righteous fury.

"Why didn't you save him, after everything he did for you? Why couldn't you be bothered to save my brother?"

He feels quite the simpleton for not considering her point of view. If anyone was going to make that sort of mistake, he muses self-depricatingly, it would be him. But, then, he rationalizes with a half-smile, they would never have gotten this far if he was the sort of person who spent all their time worrying about the consequences of their actions.

At the time, however, he had been completely taken aback, left grasping at straws with the excuse of 'it's what Ovan wanted' yanked out from beneath him. Even now he finds himself unable to find a suitable answer.

He rolls over, burying his face in his pillow. Thinking can wait for tomorrow. He needs sleep.
