AN: merry Christmas to you all! A special Jily fic just for this time of year. This is set in seventh year, where things are peachy between James and lily, thanks to Head duties.

Disclaimer: I don't own Harry Potter, otherwise I wouldn't be here!

"Are you going home for Christmas?" I asked James.

He nodded. "Sirius, Remus, Peter and I are going to Potter Manor. You're more than welcome to join us."

I smiled. "Thanks, but no thanks. My parents are expecting me to go there. Except, I don't know how, seeing as my sister is there. We're still not on good terms."

I frowned at the memory of our previous row. Petunia had yelled at me for going to Hogwarts, instead of staying at home, whilst mum was sick. Mum was fine of course, but going to Hogwarts had made Tuney and I grow distance. I didn't miss her so bad, but it felt different without her. I looked up, noticing James and I had reached our Head dorm.

"Password." asked the portrait.

"Flakes of snow," I replied and the door swung open. The main room was filled head to toe with Christmas decorations. I turned to James.

"What's happened here?"

"I got Sirius to come in here and decorate the room. Do you like it?"

"Like it? I-"

My sentence was cut short by an invisible force. I tried walking again, but I kept hitting a wall.

"Ugh!" I groaned in frustration. I looked at James.

"Ah," he said, as if he realised something.

"What?" I asked, determined to know what was happening.

"Enchanted Mistletoe."

"Mistletoe- wha-"

"Sirius's idea of a joke," James replied, "We can't get out until we kiss."

I stared at him bluntly, before I felt the anger rise. "If you had anything to do with this Potter, I swear-"

"I didn't do anything. Mardurers promise."

I sighed. I did believe him. "So what are we gonna do?"

"We could sleep here?" James suggested.

"It's a too small of an area!" I declared.

"The enchantment doesn't wear off."

I sat there thinking. I took out my wand, and muttered a few spells, but none of them seemed to work.

"Dammit."

"What else can we do?" James asked.

"Nothing."

"We can't stay here for the rest of our lives!" James complained.

"I guess we have to kiss then," I muttered.

"I guess we do."

I stared into his hazel eyes, and I got lost in them. I didn't realised he had leaned down, until his lips met mine. And I felt something that I hadn't felt before. I felt a spark, like we were meant to be. When I had kissed other guys, it was empty, no feelings at all. But now... Now I felt like I could fly to the moon! And an innocent kiss turned into a full out snog.

"Go out with me," James muttered in my ear.

"Gladly."

(The next day)

Lily and James walked hand in hand down to the great hall for breakfast that day. Sirius held his hand out to Remus and Peter.

"I told you it would work!" He said triumphantly as they both handed him 12 Galleons.
