Phantom

By: Pink Ranger Karone

I've never really touched you,

Never felt your lips against mine,

Yet, I love you

More than words can express.

In and out of my life,

Like a phantom you come so quickly,

Then disappear.

Sometimes maybe I see you,

But you're gone before I know for sure.

Still, I know you're always here with me

Deep inside my heart.

I long to really know you,

To see you as more than the ghostly image

Of a man I could love forever.

Maybe I ask too much,

But still I can dream

Of a day when I can hold you

Without you slipping though my desperate fingers.

You said that day would come,

So I wait.

I wait, just like you asked me to.
