A/N: I was planning to write this after finishing Yume No Tsubasa, but I got excited :D This is only the prologue, so it's pretty short :) Sorry if their might be some grammar mistakes. It wasn't exactly beta read. By the way, the title roughly means, 'Memories of You'. Constructive criticism is much appreciated! :)
We were just orphans, right off the streets, with no idea how we got there, or who we were; the memories of our lives before then were beyond recollection. Many would say we met by simple coincidence… but I think it must've been fate that brought me to him.

The sound of the rain, with muddled droplets pelting any surface they could reach, echoed harshly through my sensitive and pained ears. The scent of wet grass and the strong scent of the blood coming out in unearthly amounts from the various cuts on all over my pale, now crimson stained skin, mixing with my sweat and the rain water flooded my senses, and made me even dizzier; if that was possible. The disgusting taste of blood was sickening, and I felt as though I would vomit any second. I felt that death was near, lurking in the shadows.
I looked in vain at the people passing hurriedly by me. I needed help, but they only rushed past me like I was a diseased animal, as if they even came close, they would fall to the ground and die. A small few would stop for a mere second, would look at me disgustedly, before going on their way, just like everyone else. They didn't give a damn that a poor, innocent boy was bleeding to death; that the asphalt beneath him might soon become his grave.
That was, until a boy, a little younger than myself came walking by. Unlike every other person, walking down that busy street, he rushed to my side, and actually showed concern and worry.
"Sir, are you awake?" he asked timidly, his blue eyes, which almost matched my own, were clouded in worry.
With my eyes barely open, I nodded ever so slightly, just to let him know I was conscious. At the gesture, he quickly went to help me up, but brutally failed in the process, for he was very small, and could not lift my limp form by himself.
He began to panic, but wasted to no time. "I'll be right back, ok?"
I nodded again in response, as I watched him quickly run out of sight. And my eyes sleepily closed, leading me into a fathomless abyss of unconsciousness.
