I have a very deep-seated mistrust of boats. Boats are, to put it plainly, vindictive, evil little creations that never work right. They claim to be able to float, but the minute that you are out on open water, with no one else around to help you they suddenly manage to spring a leak – and then attempt to drown you. You may think that I am insane Kaoru, but it is true! You and I are proving me right, right now. Or we're about to.

I was amazingly surprised when you agreed to go out on the lake with the rest of the Club. It was probably because Haruhi really wanted to go – I've been trying to convince you to go out with me for about two months now, but oh no! I'm just not good enough....anyway, that's beside the point. The point I am trying to make is that you are unfairly prejudiced against boats, and the readers should not go away from this story thinking that boats are dangerous or something. Okay, maybe this story isn't the best way of putting that point across.....

I have no excuse for this. The characters are kinda OOC, but I wanted to try and portray them more as brothers, actual brothers. No idea if that came across right....oh well. ^_^
