A blade, crimson and sharp, stabbed through.
The pain was intense.
Blood dribbled out of the girl's mouth and her eyes were filled with tears. She coughed, making more of the red, vital liquid escape her mouth and trickle down to the ground.
"I'm sorry." Came an emotionless reply as the crimson blade, now damp with blood, came out of the black haired Faunus's stomach.
Blake fell down, unable to even stand. Tears freely rained down her face, her blood beginning to pour out of her wound.
"... W-Why would you?" The amber eyed girl managed to ask, though it came out as an interrupted whisper when she coughed up more blood.
"It is my duty. The White Fang gave out the order." Adam explained, turning away from his former partner.
Blake was going to retort but another shot of pain ran though her body, making her gag in agony. Her aura was desperately attempting to fix her broken body, but to no avail. The wound was too deep, too precise, too deadly. The world was slowly going hazy and dark. She could no longer feel the intense pain. All Blake could do was stare at her former partner, the one who taught her to fight, to live, to survive. The cat Faunus silently remembered the memories, wondering when it all went wrong.
Adam began to walk away, or at least what she thought was Adam. Everything was blurry and fuzzy, so she only saw a dark smudge walk away. More tears came out of her amber eyes.
She wasn't going to survive.
She wasn't going to see Ruby, her innocent, clumsy, silly and lovable leader. She wasn't going to see Weiss, her stubborn, tsundere teammate with a warm heart despite her cold appearance. She wasn't going to see Yang, her care-free, boisterous, playful, partner. She wasn't going to see any of them again.
In the back of her hazy mind Blake wished she had more time to be with her team. More time to make memories, more time to live...
But, despite her wishes, Blake didn't have any time left.
