Date With Patrick [one shot]
Lisbon's POV
Lisbon finished touching her makeup with adding a bit of eyeliner dragging it out at the corners. She was dressed in a green dress with a rather low neckline. With the dress she'd also planned to take a black shawl that was lying on her couch. The dress flowed elegantly down her body and hugged her curves perfectly. It was not overly fancy and had been chosen specifically for her date with Jane. Her hair were held up loosely with a few stray strands framing her face. She had also chosen black heels for the occasion.
It was not her first date with Jane which had been at the blue bird lodge but still she felt like it was her first date ever. Even though when Jane and Lisbon had started dating they had known each other for so long that it was rather like their 10th date.
Despite knowing him for so long when he'd asked her out today ["How about I pick you up for a date after work today? I'll make reservations for 8:30", he had said with that 100 watt smile of his] she had felt her heart flutter which he always managed to do with his smile.
She looked at the digital clock at her bedside and saw that it was nearly 7:30 so he would be there soon. As if on cue she heard his car pull up outside.

Jane' s POV
Patrick Jane got out of his car and made his way towards the door of his girlfriend's house. It still felt surreal to him that Teresa Lisbon was in fact his girlfriend. Teresa had been stressed about the latest case they had been working on so Jane had suggested to take her out. He was dressed in a dark blue turtleneck and faded jeans with the scarf from the violet's case draped around his neck. He usually did not wear jeans or turtlenecks not even to dates but this was an exception.
Opening the door with the spare key that had been given to him Jane stepped inside making his way towards Teresa's room. He had been surprised when Teresa had offered him the key. Although they had been practically living together, giving the key had made it official.
Jane entered his room and was lost for words when he saw her. With her locks framing her face and in that stunning green dress with the red lipstick coloring her lips she looked absolutely breathtaking, in a way only his Teresa could.

Lisbon's POV again
Lisbon was also left speechless when her eyes fell upon Jane. Normally he wore his 3 piece when going out and Lisbon felt he looked absolutely handsome. Whether it was his jeans or the turtleneck or both but he looked more attractive than he ever did.
"Hi", Jane said taking a step towards her and flashing her with the smile he had specially for her.
"Hey", she replied blushing at the way he looked at her.
"You look strikingly beautiful, Teresa", he complimented her with yet another dazzling smile as he looked her up and down.
"Thanks", she said blushing again and feeling the need to look away. God why was she acting like a teenager meeting her crush, she mentally scolded herself.
"Hey don't you get all shy on me", Jane said tilting her chin up much like he had when they had kissed for the first time and making her meet his eyes.
"You look good too" Lisbon got out. His touch was distracting her. Their lips were so close… From the gleam in his eyes he probably knew the effect he had on her.
"That's all? I just look good? Nothing else?" Jane pretended to be offended.
Lisbon smiled and decided to go along.
"No you look perfectly handsome and I love the scarf"
"You love just the scarf and not me? He was enjoying this.
"Both" Lisbon said blushing.
Jane chuckled at her nervousness before murmuring an "I love you too" and pulling her close before he closed the distance between their lips and kissed her.
