Jaune opened his eyes once starting a new day holding a resting ruby in his arms. He took a glance at the clock sitting on his bed side table. Shoot. He realized they were already ten minutes late. "Rubes... honey... sweetie?... c'mon baby wake up!" She remained asleep "sweet cheeks... rosey? Petal? Dammit CRATERFACE GET UP!"
"Jussss... five more minutes..." she mumbled wearily "and don caw meh craterface!" she was half asleep. He tried a different technique, bribery
"Baby, we have to go now..." he whisperered in a soothing voice "If you get up now I'll get you strawberries"
"Nu..." she must've been really tired to refuse cookies
"I'll do what ever you want if you get up now"
"Cawy me... pweeeese" dammit she's being adorable again.
"Fine, but only because you're the cutest" he reluctantly agreed. "Now get some clothes on..."
"Ok Jauney" she got up and picked out a red jacket that she wore over her pajama shirt and a pair of black jeans. Jaune threw on his hoodie and blue jeans both wearing matching sneakers.
He opened the door and took a step outside "Alright... grab your bag and hop on..." he sighed
"Yay!" She jumped on his back "lets go Jauney!" He started jogging down the street with Ruby on her back. "Giddy up horsey!" She cried causing them both to laugh despite the confused looked strangers gave them. She hoped off his back.
"Where on earth have you been!?" A slightly less energetic Nora cried from in the cafe.
"Slept in..." Jaune responded
"Must be nice!" Nora snapped "I HAVEN'T HAD A BLINK OF SLEEP FOR A WEEK CAUSE OF THIS DARN KID!"
"Apologies if we aren't as... chipper as usual."
"Lets just get some food!" Ruby suggested. They all sat down in a table of four in an awkward silence until the cries of a baby broke it.
"So... what's it like being parents?" Jaune asked
"Stressful, full of sleepless nights, can't get any piece and quiet but... it's still worth it. I'm just glad I get to be here for my kids unlike my parents..." Ren explained
"Oh ok cause we were thinking about kids too weren't we?"
"We were?"
"Don't you remember Rubes?"
"...no"
"You've gotta be kidding me!"
"Well are you open to the idea?"
"Yes of course! Since we were married" that was six months ago they are in their mid 20s.
"Wait you are?"
"Uh huh"
"You've wanted kids all that time and you didn't say anything about it!"
"I thought you didn't want kids..."
"When did I say that!"
"I dunno!"
"Guys shut up!" Nora yelled causing Ruby and Jaune to freeze "your freaking out the baby"
"So sorry..." Ruby said apologetically
"Yeah maybe this wasn't the best idea..." Jaune said offering to reschedule under better circumstances.
"Yeah that seems like a good idea." Ren agreed. And so they all went home. Jaune and Ruby sat in silence as they lay on the bed.
"..."
"Jaune?..."
"Yes Ruby?" He knew what she was gonna ask.
"Do you wanna make a baby?" Ruby asked
"Yeah lets do it!" and they did the end.
