The snow fell slowly. The snowflakes danced gracefully in the wind. Soon landing one by one, creating a beautiful white blanket to cover the earth. It is a late December evening and all of the lamp lights have been turned on along the sidewalk. Everything is quiet, only the whispers of the wind dared to make a single sound. Except for a footstep.

A young man walked against the harsh wind. He pulled his thick winter coat closer to his body, hoping to shield himself from jack frosts' breath. He slowed his pace when he noticed a young lady sitting on a park bench. She had her coat wrapped around her small body; her hair flowed down her shoulders from underneath a knit hat. She had a long dress and boots on. Mittens wrapped around her hands, immediately melting the snowflakes that decided to land on them. She was beautiful through her rosy cheeks.

The young man decided to speak.

"Excuse me, miss?" The young lady looked up, revealing kind brown eyes.

"Yes?" she said quietly.

"Don't you think you should be inside on a night like this? A nice lady like you shouldn't catch a cold just because she wanted to enjoy the winter scenes by a night stroll."

The young lady didn't look up again; she only dusted the snow off the spot next to her and tapped it with her hand. The young man sat down at her invitation. They sat there in silence for a few moments. The young lady looked at the young man. He had silvery-blue eyes and black hair wet from the snow. The young lady smiled.

"Don't you think you should have a hat?" She opened her purse and pulled out a hand knitted hat and put it on his head. He reached up and touched it, then looked at her and smiled.

"Thank you." He had a smile in his eyes. The young lady closed her purse, and then wrapped her arms around his arm. She closed her eyes and let a tear fall down her face.

"I've needed a hug for a long time." The young man looked down at her and wrapped his arms around her.

"So have I." He said simply.

The young man and woman then began to walk there every day. Every one watched their relationship blossom and their kids grow. They would walk there the same time every evening until they both passed away.

Reminiscing on the lovely times they spent together.
