It was about 3am when Sword was finished with his shift. Tired and bored, he took off his armor and neatly placed it into the chest. In the other room, he could hear his lord watching something on T.V.
Quietly, he opened the door and peaked inside. "Sir? Are you awake?"
ga"Mmph." mumbled the blue-haired knight.
Sword let out a chuckle as he slid into the room. "I'll take that as a yes." He climbed onto the bed and smiled at Meta.
"You're back?" Meta said drowsily.
"I am."
"I missed you."
"I missed you too, love."
Sword's smile grew even wider when he wrapped his arms around Meta. He started to hum a little song for his partner while rubbing his back.
Meta's body shifted to give Sword a peck on the lips. "I hate staying up late, waiting for you to come back from your late night shifts..." he spoke in a quiet tone.
"Then don't." replied Sword.
"But I want to be here when you get back."
"Get sleep instead." Sword said as he gave Meta a kiss on the forehead. "I don't like it when you wait for me at an hour like this."
Meta grumbled in response as he snuggled into Sword's arms.
"Let's go to bed now, ok?" Sword asked.
"Fine..." Meta replied.
Quickly after, both knights fell asleep, holding each other.
