Wind and Flame
Chapter 1
"Hey, Michael, has the new hunter come yet?" Sakaki asked when he got to the STN-J headquarters. "No, she hasn't." Michael said, typing on his computer. "Oh. What are you doing?" He walked over and peered over Michael's shoulder. ((Note: I wrote this before I saw episodes 20-23.)) "I'm trying to find some more info on her." "Oh. You know, I think Karasuma said she would pick up the new hunter." "She did." Michael replied. "Any luck?" Sakaki asked, referring to what Michael was trying to do. "No."
Robin chose that moment to walk into the office. "Hi, Michael, hi Sakaki." They looked up." "Hi, Robin." "I found something!" Michael shouted triumphantly. Sakaki looked over Michael's shoulder again. "OK, she's got blonde hair, blue eyes, and she wears glasses. She's a craft-user of the element wind. Apparently, she has no biological family that she knows of. She's about 14 years old." Michael read off the screen. 'She would be. It's been 10 years. Assuming that she is the same girl.' Robin thought. "Does that mean that she's going to stay with Michael overnights here?" Sakaki asked. "I don't know. It's up to Amon, isn't it?"
Amon walked in. "What's up to me?" He asked. "Whether or not the new hunter stays here with Michael overnights." Sakaki replied. "I have some info on her right here." Michael said, tapping the computer screen. "She could stay with me and Touko, if she wanted to." Robin spoke up. "Are you sure you would want her there?" Sakaki asked, looking over to Robin. "Yes. Besides, I think I might know her."
Karasuma waited at the airport for the new hunter to arrive. She looked at her watch. 'If Dojima arrives before I do, I'll never hear the end of it.' She thought. The new hunter that everyone at STN-J headquarters was wondering about stepped off the plane. She walked over to Karasuma. "You're the new hunter?" Karasuma asked. The young girl nodded. "What's your name?" The girl smiled. "Anna." "Last name?" "I don't have one, currently." "Oh. Well, we'd better get to the STN-J. We're already late as it is." Anna nodded.
They got to the STN-J. "I've got the new hunter with me!" Karasuma announced as she and Anna walked in. Robin gasped. "Anna!" Michael and Sakaki looked at Robin, then at Anna. "I knew the person Michael described was you!" Anna looked confused. "I'm sorry but I don't know what you're talking about. You must be thinking of someone else." She said. "Maybe we should all get to work now." Sakaki suggested. "Robin, you should show Anna around for the next few days." Michael said. Anna and Robin nodded. Michael turned back to his precious computer. "Oh, before I forget, you have a choice of where you stay overnight. Here, with Michael, or with Robin at her apartment." Sakaki said. "I think I'll stay here until I know my way around town." Anna said. "OK. Don't even think about taking advantage of her, Michael." Karasuma said, causing Sakaki to snicker. Dojima finally decided to come into work. "Hey, everyone!" She said. She stopped in mid-step. "Who's she?" She asked, pointing at Anna. "The new hunter. We all told you we were getting a new person." Sakaki said.
"She probably wasn't listening." Karasuma said. 'I still have something from 10 years ago. I'll have to see if she recognizes that, if she doesn't recognize me.' Robin thought.
