Hey guys CamDan here just thought I'd write a little short based off a halo book I read halo glasslands This short takes place after Dr. Halsey Mendez and the Spartans accidentally misplace Lucy in the forerunner Dyson sphere. At this point Lucy has found the engineers and has successfully been able to communicate with prone to drift this isn't what happens in the book but my little segment mini version of a scene so I don't own halo or any characters except the one who we meet as the chapter goes on ack I said to much...enjoy
spartan B0-91 Lucy recoiled stubbornly as the forunner engineer prone to drift dragged her around the corner of the stale grey walls that forrunner architects seem to obsessively use in buildings. prone dragged her on even though she was a spartan she could not escape from his grasp for some reason with a spare tentacle he wrote on the data pad "SOMETHING TO SHOW YOU" Lucy grasped the she wrote "WHAT IS IT?" prone responded "ONE OF YOU" her jaw dropped as her mind began to reel Mendez? Tom? after the moment's delay, reluctantly she allowed prone to lead her to what ever he was talking about after a few minutes of walking prone led her into a room after a quick glance she noticed a body sprawled on the floor
she gasped. and ran to the figure upon closer inspection she confirmed the figure was human next checked to make sure it wasn't dead. it was a helmeted male spartan, although the armor configuration was unlike anything she had ever seen before. slowly she removed the black helmet from him and gazed upon his unconscious form he was a young adult probably similar age to her. so Lucy did the only thing that came to her ... she poked his cheek...
no movement. so she repeated,again,
Again, and again. damn he was a sound sleeper. so she thought for a second and it came to her. moving closer she crawled to the other side of him so her face was above his except flipped over. she stared at his sleeping face sucked up as much air as she could and... blew in his face...
Finally an effect. groggily he slowly opened his eyes his eyes were glazed as he looked left then right and finally focused on the small face above him and his cheeks grew bright red and his eyes focused "hello" he spurted out cheeks suddenly turning a bright red color as well her eyes wide and abruptly sat up arms lowered to her lap hands curled into loose fists the boy sat up and turned towards her and repeated "hello" she nodded to him "um hi?"he spoke with a quizzical look on his face, She made a slight wave. He looked around the room and asked"where am I ?" Again Lucy remained voiceless. she shrugged with a sigh he stood up grabbed a rifle from under him. Lucy considered herself to have pretty good knowledge of all firearms But she had absolutely no recognition of his rifle it didn't look like any military variant service rifle or even civilian models.
Sharply the he raised his rifle shouldered it and aimed Lucy followed his gaze and saw prone Peeking around the corner he whispered to himself "" he sighted his rifle And blinked there suddenly was a small blond-haired Spartan III standing in his sights her arms outstretched to act as a shield for prone she furiously nodded "NO". and he lowered his rifle he sighed and prone came into full view be hind Lucy the boy flinched as prone revealed himself "What the hell is that!" He asked alerted Lucy gave him her best "are you fucking serious" look, he noticed and appeared confused he repeated calmer "what is that " Lucy turned angrily towards him. prone handed her the data pad and she wrote " HE IS AN ENGINEER " "HE" "HE IS NAMED PRONE TO DRIFT" she looked angry the boy thought he walked up to her with an outstretched hand " let's start over." He said "my name is Camilo Miranda, what is your name" she shook with a grip that was a little stronger than necessary but he seemed unfazed. After she let go she typed "SPARTAN B0-91 LUCY" he responded "why aren't you talking?" She typed "CANT" he sighed "O K then"
So that was my take on a romantic comedy type feel in my writing i might go for another chapter but it depends on how you guys feel anyway it isn't really edited so spelling might be a bit off in some places and i haven't checked my grammar so that's pretty much going to be shit. well that's it CamDan out
